This one-of-a-kind necklace features a stunning natural gemstone comprised of natural lapis lazuli inclusions embedded in a calcite base. Lapis lazuli is formed with three minerals in varying amounts: lazurite, calcite, and pyrite. This stone has a unique matrix pattern with a blend of lapis with calcite which has a soft yellowish hue and a sprinkling of shimmery pyrite inclusions. Each side has it's own unique beauty, so I designed it to be reversible. (See all photos for alternate sides). It's accented with a handcrafted sterling silver bail with a hammered organic texture. Bold and striking, it will make a great gift for a natural stone lover - or a nice addition to your own jewelry wardrobe.
MEASUREMENTS: 3-1/4" in length (from top of sterling bail to bottom of stone) and approximately 1-3/4” at widest point. I created the bail out of solid sterling silver sheet; hand filed edges until meticulously smooth; then hammered it for an organic texture. It comes on a 20" stainless steel chain necklace with lobster claw closure. The chain can be worn with other pendants - so it's like getting 2 pieces of jewelry in one!
