These handcrafted lapis lazuli earrings were inspired by "Old World" designs and have an exotic, ancient Egyptian flair. Bold and unique, they're sure to make a statement. The stones are a beautiful shade of blue with natural specks of pyrite. Pyrite is also known as "fools gold" because it tends to have a "gold" luster and appearance.
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2-1/2” from top of hand forged gold brass ear wires and 1-1/4" at widest point. I hand sawed the shapes out of solid gold brass sheet; created the texture into the metal; then oxidized; buffed and polished it to highlight the details. The metal is sealed with jeweler's wax to resist tarnishing.
