A heart-shaped snowflake obsidian gemstone is the focal point of this romantic necklace. The stone has a natural pattern in hues of black & soft gray and is accented with a handcrafted sterling silver bail. This type of obsidian is a natural volcanic glass which contains the mineral cristobalite which creates the "snowflake" type patterns. Makes a great gift to say "I love you"!
MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 2-1/4" in length (from top of sterling silver bail to bottom of stone) and 1-1/4" at widest point of stone. I created the bail out of solid sterling silver sheet; hammered the silver for texture; then hand filed all edges until meticulously smooth. It comes on a 20" stainless steel chain with lobster claw closure.
