These handcrafted sterling silver earrings feature natural larvikite gemstones with a pearly, grayish black hue and blue iridescent flashes of light which cast off a natural shimmer & shine. Perfect "go to" earrings that will look great dressed up or down! Larvikite originates from the Larvik region in Norway. It's also known as Norwegian moonstone and black labradorite. The stones have a beautiful iridescence caused by the presence of interlocking feldspar crystals within the structure of the stone.
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2-7/8” from top of sterling silver ear wires and 3/4” at widest point. The stones are accented with sterling silver dangles which I hand sawed out of solid sterling silver sheet. I hammered the metal to create a rustic, organic texture; then oxidized it to enhance the detail. They are signed on the back with my initials and sterling stamp.
