This pendant necklace features a natural larvikite gemstone accented with a hand forged sterling silver bail. The stone has a pearly, grayish black hue along with blue iridescent flashes of light which cast off a natural shimmer and shine. This stone is also known as Norwegian moonstone and black labradorite. It is found in the Larvik region in Norway.
MEASUREMENTS: 2-5/8" in length (from top of bail to bottom of stone) and 1-7/8” at widest point. I created the bail out of solid sterling silver sheet; hand filed edges until meticulously smooth; then hammered it for a rustic texture. It comes on a 22" stainless steel rounded box chain with lobster claw closure. The chain can be worn with other pendants - so it is like getting 2 pieces of jewelry in one!
