These handcrafted sterling silver earrings have a bold, organic and edgy vibe. They feature natural snowflake obsidian gemstones dangling from textured and oxidized sterling silver. The stones have a black base with a natural soft grey matrix that resembles snowflakes. This stone is a type of natural volcanic glass which contains the mineral cristobalite - which creates the "snowflake" type patterns.
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2-1/2” from top of sterling silver ear wires and 1-1/4” at widest point. I hand sawed the shapes out of solid sterling silver sheet; created the rustic organic texture; then oxidized the metal to highlight the details.
