This handcrafted necklace features a natural poppy jasper gemstone accented with a handcrafted sterling silver bail. Poppy jasper is a variation of brecciated jasper and is characterized by its orbicular patterns which resemble poppy flowers. It has hues of earthy, reddish brown against a taupe background. This unique necklace will make a great gift for a natural stone lover!
MEASUREMENTS: The pendant measures 2-3/4" in length and 1-1/4" at widest point. I created a sterling silver bail to surround the stone; then wrapped it securely with sterling silver wire. The metal was hammered for an earthy, organic texture; then given a charcoal patina to enhance the detail.
► CHAIN OPTIONS: This pendant may be purchased WITH OR WITHOUT the chain. If you select the "With Sterling Chain" option, it will come on the chain shown in the photos - which is an 18" oxidized solid sterling silver box chain with lobster claw closure.
